Christmas with the Lords

After a busy Christmas morning at our house we headed north to my Brother's house to celebrate Christmas with my mom's side of the family. We haven't all gotten together for Christmas in years but with the unexpected loss of my Aunt and my Grammy this past year it was so great to have most of the family together. My brother and his wife Chrissy did a fabulous job hosting and we all had a great time visiting and playing with little puppy Piper! The next morning we headed to my parents house and opened more presents...like I said these girls were spoiled! Once we finally made it home we were all exhausted from our three fun filled days of Christmas. Bernie and I relaxed and watched the girls play with their toys and both agreed that it really is the most wonderful time of the year!

Christmas Morning

Christmas morning came quickly and we were all still exhausted from all the fun the night before. When Ella wasn't awake at 8:30 we decided we better get her up. When we went into her room she said, "why did you wake me, I was sleeping!" We told her Santa had come and she said, "I don't want to see Santa!" Then we told her that he left her presents under the tree. She then jumped up and said, "can we open them?" When we told her yes she was out of bed in no time! What a great Christmas morning, Bernie's parents came over for breakfast and watched the girls open some of their presents. Ella got her much anticipated doll house as well as all the furniture for each of the rooms. She also got an easel and all sorts of paint brushes and paints plus a ton of games and other toys. Mrs. Claus even made Ella her very own art apron! Of course Ashley was more intrigued with the wrapping paper than any of her gifts but she managed to walk away from Christmas with FOUR baby dolls! I think the word got out that Ella is not the best sharer when it comes to her dolls. We had a wonderful Christmas and the girls were completely spolied by everyone. It all went way too fast for me but luckily I was able to capture it all on my present from Santa a new DSLR camera that I am in love with! More pictures to come!

Christmas Eve

We hosted Christmas Eve at our house this year with the whole Johnson crew! We even had an appereance from Santa himself. It was great fun watching all the kids run around and play together, they are all at such fun ages. All the girls got vaccums, brooms and mops from Nanny and Gramps so they even helped clean up :)

Right before bed we put out food for the Reindeer to make sure they could find our house!

Santa Cookies

This year Ella helped me bake cookies for Santa! We may have tested out a few too :)

Merry Christmas!

How many poses and bribes does it take to get a decent family picture?
One?
Two?
Three?
Four?
Oh, I give up!

Happy Holidays from the Johnsons!

Introducing Piper

This is the newest memeber of the Lord family, Piper! Isn't she the most adorable little thing you have ever seen? Ella, Ashley and I got to go with my mom to pick her out. All the puppies were cute but there was something about her that screamed, "PICK ME, PICK ME!" It was love at first sight! I have to say I am extremely excited about this addition to the family because we will get all of the benefits of a new puppy minus the work and sleepless nights (let's be honest I have enough of those as it is). Welcome to the family Piper you will be loved beyond words!
