Merry Christmas 2012

Another Christmas for the books and boy am I tired. We had a very exciting and extremely busy few days. For Christmas Eve we headed to church and then hosted the entire Johnson side over for dinner. Bernie did a great job with the prime rib and I did my best to keep everything else in order. We had the annual visit from Santa and we had some very excited little ones jumping up and down when he came in from the living room (down the chimney of course). The kids got to sit on his lap and tell him if they had been good all year. Christmas morning we had breakfast and opened presents just the four of us. The big hit this year for Ashley was her bouncing Tigger and her Doc McStuffins doctor bad. Before she was even done opening presents she had all her stuffed animals set up in a line up for their checkups as she sang the Doc McStuffins theme song and promised them that, "this won't hurt." Nanny and Gramps got Ella and Ashley a Leap pad and this was a hit for Ella she didn't put it down for hours. We then headed up to Seattle to have Christmas with my family. It was so much fun celebrating Allison's first Christmas with her and Ella couldn't get enough of her she wanted to hold her the entire day. Once we opened gifts and spent some quality family time together we headed to Mill Creek to my cousin Heather's house who was hosting my mom's entire family for dinner. Needless to say when we got home Christmas night we had two very tired girls on our hands as well as an exhausted mom and dad. The girls were spoiled just like always and Bernie had a few surprises for me too. I loved watching  the joy and excitement on their faces Christmas morning and teaching them the true meaning of the season!

Merry and Bright

At this year Christmas pageant Ella's class sang three songs Joy to the World, Go Tell it on the Mountain, and Baby Jesus. She was a little shyer than some this year but still so fun to see her on stage with all her friends.

Great Wolf Lodge

We had an over night at the Great Wolf Lodge.  If you haven't been there you should go it is absolutely awesome, so many things for the kids to do from little ones all the way up. We have decided to make this an annual trip for our family. We loved going during the holiday season, it snowed in the lobby a reindeer read a story to the kids at night and the entire lodge was all lit up and decorated. Although we had a great time Ashley was a bit of a handful, it seems that the chlorine created more skin issues and she was extremely itchy making it difficult to sleep...after an entire day in the water and playing hard and no sleep at night it made for a rough day two. Ella on the other hand was a perfect angel she had so much fun and loved every second and even got brave a few times and went down a couple of the bigger slides. I can't wait to take them back next year!
