Boating

We headed out on our boat to enjoy the last sun of the summer. Nanny and Gramps met us out at Horsehead Bay with their boat too which the girls thought was really cool. It was a fun day with a lot of swimming and shell collecting and two very tired girls by the time we got home.

Bye Bye Binky

We headed out on the boat yesterday and as we were trying to load everything into the boat we dropped Ashley's most prized possession... her BINKY into the Puget Sound! This was the very last binky that Ashley had (or so I thought). I had been telling her once that one was gone she was all done with binkys and ready to be a big girl. We explained to her that she had just given her binky to the baby fishies. She seemed ok with it until that night when we were getting her ready for bed, it took a little more rocking and consoling but she made it through the night ok. The next day, I noticed Ashley had been awfully quite upstairs and decided I better go check on her, sure enough she was hiding out in her room with a binky. When I asked her where she got it she said, "it was hiding under my bed". I am going to have to watch this little girl, I have a feeling she is going to have some tricks up her sleeve :) Since she was such a big girl and gave up this hidden binky we decided to reward the girls and take them to Build a Bear. Now Ashley sleeps with "Princess" instead of a binky. My little baby is growing up so fast.

Pretty Princess

Ashley has been at home with me for the past week with a nasty virus that has caused her to break out in a rash from head to toe. Poor little thing has been miserable and itchy but nothing brought on a bigger smile than dressing up like her favorite princess! She has been running around the house saying,"Mommy I so pretty!" And I have to agree :)

Fourth of July

We had another great Fourth of July, we started with the neighborhood parade. Once again the girls were much more interested in walking than riding their bikes so Bernie and I ended up carrying their vehicles as they paraded the neighborhood. Then we headed over to Fox Island for the annual bash at the beach. Once again it didn't disappoint the girls played hard and the fireworks were grand as always.
