Fair Day

We took the girls to the Puyallup Fair this week, we started by energizing ourselves with elephant ears!
This was Ashley's first Elephant ear and as you can tell she was a big fan!

A ride on the small elephant was a must

Ella fell in love with the bubble station

Ashley had a blast at the petting zoo...

she got down and dirty with the goats! As usual this girls still has no fear

Ella enjoyed the acrobatic show and told us that she did not want to go on any rides this year.

And we learned that our children are still afraid of characters!

All in all a great day at the fair!

First Day of Preschool

Today was Ella's first day of preschool, she actually went to a two year old class two days a week last year but now she is in the big three year old class three times a week. I can not get over how grown up my baby is, the changes that have taken place in the past year are mind boggling. Ella speaks so clearly now and has an amazing memory, she is learning her letters, numbers and how to write her name. She was so excited to go to her first day of preschool and I can not wait to see the changes that will take place this year although a little sad that my baby is growing up so fast..tear, tear.

Saying goodbye to summer

Saying goodbye to summer with a beautiful wedding and one last weekend at the pool. Now it's time to get back into the swing of things.

My Little Pony

Auntie Nannet and Uncle Papa took the girls to a carnival at their church. There was bounce houses, games, all kinds of treats and even pony rides. The girls came home exhausted and I knew they had a great time.

A trip to the Zoo

Another great zoo day for the books!

We had some great views of the animals...this one in particular was a little closer than I prefer but still pretty neat.

The elephants are always one of my favorite

The baby leopards were adorable

Ella got her favorite snack...popcorn

Ashley fed the goats for the first time

and had her first carousel ride...

which turned into three carousel rides because she loved it so much!

Knock off necklace

Here is my version of the Stella and Dot Tatum necklace. Maybe not quite as cute but for $3 vs. their $29 I am ok with it :)

Baker Ella

Kids Say the Darndest things...part 2

Every time I tell my mom a funny story about one of the girls her response is alway the same, "did you write it down, you'll forget if you don't!" So here are a couple of funny comments that have come from my girls recently and a little glimpse into my world :)

Sadly the girls have already begun fighting over toys. It basically goes something like this, Ashley has a toy, Ella then decides she wants it and takes it from her, which causes Ashley to take a swing at her or pull her hair ( I know I was not expecting the girl fights quite this early) and finally Ella is in tears. So the other day I was in the kitchen and just heard the aftermath but didn't see exactly what happened, but this time Ashley was the one in tears. When I asked the girls what happened Ashley stood up, pointed at Ella and said, "Ella....DID IT!" Yep, sixteen months old and already blaming her sister.

Ella on the other hand has something funny to say on a regular basis. This morning I was trying to help her with something and she said, "Mom I am never going to learn if I don't do it myself!" Seriously?! Then later we were pretending to be princesses and she said, "mom you can't be a princess until we get you married." Then she told me that I needed to get a "married dress" I asked her if she was going to get married and named a few of her boy friends to see if she thought she would marry one of them and she said, "umm mommy I think I am just going to marry daddy." Then I asked her what happens after you get married and she said, " oh well then it is the end!" This girl is wise beyond her years :)

The Royal Wedding

One of my best friends Leslie married her prince, Charles this past weekend. The wedding was absolutely beautiful and everyone had such a great time celebrating the happy couple. Congrats Leslie and Charles...cheers to happily ever after!

Longshore Picnic

This was the first year that we attended the Longshore Picnic and the girls had a great time. They had everything you could imagine there pony rides, bounce houses, giant slides, clowns, balloon animals, ice cream, the list could go on and on.

Ashley still loves her ice cream
Ella must have done this bounce house obstacle course at least twenty times
There were races for all the kids
The giant slide
Searching the hay for the hidden quarters.
