Maris Farms Pumpkin Patch

We spent the best day at the Maris Farms Pumpkin Patch yesterday. Bernie and I had never been to a pumpkin patch before so we weren't really sure what to expect, I have to say it was much more than I had bargained for. They had everything there hay rides, a corn maze, a bounce house, an animal farm, pig races, a goat walk, roasted corn on the cob, and of course pumpkins! We spent almost four hours there if that tells you anything :) Ella had a great time and Bernie and I tried our best to contain her, she is not one to sit still these days. Put this down as another family tradition....we enjoyed ourselves so much we may even go to another pumpkin patch before the month is over!

Big Sister!!!!

Ella is going to be a big sister! The new addition is scheduled to arrive the end of March. I am 13 weeks along and will hopefully be getting my energy back soon. Being pregnant this time around has been a little different, I wonder if it has anything to do with chasing a 14 month old around!?! We are very excited for our little family of four and will find out in November whether Ella will have a little brother or sister!

Puyallup Fair Day

Ella got to experience her first state fair this week. I love the fair but Bernie has never been a huge fan so it is always like pulling teeth trying to get him to take me, but now that we have Ella there is no getting out of it! Of course she wasn't old enough to go on the rides (although she did meet most of the height requirements) but we saw all of the animals and ate all of the yummy fair food. Ella pet a cow and a pig but was the most excited about the bunnies and a little afraid of the extra large bunnies. It was a fun day, definitely a new family tradition!
Baby pigs
Ella loved the Bunnies, she kept waving to them saying, "hi Buneeee"
We saw our friends Steve, Elizabeth, Bella and Joey And more friends Madison, and Micheal When it was all over we had one tired girl.

Husky Football

We went the the most exciting football game I have ever been to this weekend and watched the Huskies beat the #3 ranked team in the nation USC! We started the tailgate bright and early and brought Ella as our good luck charm all decked out in her Husky cheer uniform that Auntie Leslie and Auntie Kristen got her last season. She was a great tailgater and once she started getting tired we were lucky enough that my mom offered to come pick her up so Bernie and I could go to the game. It was such a great game, so much energy and excitiment at Husky Stadium just like the old days! After the Huskies won 16 to 13 we ran out on the field to celebrate and saw all the important players that made it happen! What a great day to be a Husky!!!!!! GO DAWGS!!!!!!!

Big Day!

We spent another beautiful day out on the boat today. My mom came with us and was a huge help with Ella. We found a great sandy place we could beach the boat and Ella could play in her floaty. But even more exciting after our fun day on the boat we decided it was such a nice night that we would go picnic down at the lawn at Chambers Bay where little Miss Ella decided to take her first steps...FINALLY! I know it will still be awhile before we can say that she is walking because we have learned that this girl is very cautious and takes her time with everything but this was exciting progress. Way to go Ella!

Dancing Queen

We went to my cousin Michelle's wedding this weekend and Ella was dancing the night away! She looked so cute in her fancy dress with cake all over her face :)

Baby Kellen

Our close friends Kevin and Janelle welcomed baby Kellen Joseph Lentz to the world on Saturday August 22. We were at the hospital bright and early Sunday morning to meet him and watch his big sister Miley hold him for the first time. Congrats Kevin and Janelle he is a doll!

Summer Highlights

This summer has gone so quickly I haven't posted any pictures so here are a few highlights of what we have been up to.

We had some friends come and stay with us from California so we took them on a tour of Seattle... and we rode the Duck!
We spent time with grandparents...
and Great Grammy!
We went to U.P. Festival with our friends Kevin and Janelle and Ella's BFF Miley.
Ella and Colin checked out the Jackson Spray Park and had a blast!
We went to Hood Canal... and another trip to Fox Island.
And Bernie and I have gotten to enjoy a few boat days on our own with friends. We are not ready to say goodbye to summer yet and are hoping the fun just keeps coming!
