Hazel's First Birthday!

Happy Birthday Hazel!

Hazel (our niece) had her first birthday party this weekend! The kids had so much fun and played so well together. These girls are all so close in age it will be so much fun in a couple of years to watch them all running around together. Ella is going to have a lot of older cousins to look up to :)

Thanksgiving Dinner

We hosted out second annual Thanksgiving dinner on Saturday. It is the perfect excuse for Bernie to attempt new ways to cook a turkey each year and to get together with good friends! This year Bernie took tips from my dad and cooked the turkey on the BBQ. The turkey turned out awesome and everyone made great side dishes and desserts. Needless to say by the end of the night we were all stuffed. It was the perfect kickoff to the holiday season!

Tinkerbell

Miley was a skunk and when you asked her what her costume was she would say, "little stinker." We took Ella around town to show her off in her Tinkerbell costume. We stopped by Auntie Janet and Uncle Bill's house first where auntie Janet took some pictures of our happy little Tinkerbell!

Out for a Walk

We decided to take advantage of the sun in late October and went for a nice family walk at Chambers Bay.

Grammy's Birthday Celebration

My parents came down with my borther and sister-in-law and my niece to celebrate Grammy's birthday! It was a nice excuse to bust out the china and have a fancy dinner in.

Scott and Jessie's Wedding

The happy couple Jessie and Scott! It was an AGD (Alpha Gamma Delta) reunion. Nothing like catching up with old college friends. It is so funny how so much time passes and yet when everyone gets together it's just like old times. I love all these girls! We have perfected the sorority pose. The guys! Bernie and Ella with Julian and Erick. Julian is one month younger than Ella almost to the day. It looks like Julian may have a thing for older women!

Orcas Island

We took Ella on her first ferry ride to Orcas Island for our friends Scott and Jessie's wedding. We made a long weekend of it and enjoyed Rosario Resort before it takes on new ownership in a couple of weeks.

Weekend at Grammy and Gramp's House

Ella has been giving us more and more smiles lately, it is so much fun to watch! We have figured out that as long as we are giving her compliments she will reward us with smiles in return. Already fashion conscious at 12 weeks old!

Bernie went to the Oyster Run in Anacortes, an annual trip that him and some friends take on the motorcycles. So Ella and I decided to spend the weekend at Grammy and Gramp's house. It was such a nice relaxing weekend and before we left Uncle Ed and and Aunt Chrissy came by to see Ella!

Bath Time

Ella loves bath time! Since her very first day we got home from the hospital she has loved bath time. She always seems so content in the bath, she could be screaming and you put her in the bath and she immediately calms down. She is my water baby, I can't wait to take her to swim class in a couple years!

Suprise!!!

We had a suprise party for Bernie's mom for her 65th birthday. She loved having all of her grandkids over to their new house. The Johnson family is definitely growing.

End of Summer

Bernie and I were able to get out on the boat one last time this summer. Ella spent the day with Nanny and Gramps and we headed out for a day on the water with our friends Ernie and Michelle. The boat didn't see a lot of action this summer since Ella was born of the 4th of July. We can't wait to take her out next summer, Bernie is already planning her wakeboarding debut. Daddys little girl! We took Ella to Salty's at Redondo beach for one of the last days of summer. We couldn't resist taking some pictures with the beautiful background.

Go Huskies!

We went up to Husky Stadium on Saturday to support our team. Apparently it didn't help much since they lost 14 to 55 (ouch!!!) But we had a blast and Ella was a perfect tailgater!

My Little Princess

I got this little princess outfit from my friend Jenny at one of my showers. I have been anxiously awaiting Ella fitting into it so I could get some pictures of her dressed like the princess that she is. Although Mom was super excited to see Ella all dressed up, she wasn't feeling the same!

Faces of Ella

Dad's favorite thing to do is take a nap with Ella. We went to Semiahmoo for cousin Matt and Marnae's wedding and got to have a little relaxing time at the pool. We always catch Ella smiling in her sleep, I am guessing that she is dreaming of bottles :) When we brought Ella home Apollo was not to happy. For the first few days he wouldn't even look at me or come to me when I called him, as time passes he seems to be getting more and more used to Ella being around. I keep telling him in a couple years she will be his best friend dropping food all over the floor for him to clean up!
